At 10:38 am on March 27, 2024, accompanied by a powerful whistle, the "Lanhai Hongyun" project, invested by Hainan Lanhai Shipping Co., Ltd., developed by Jiangsu Shipbuilding Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., and built by Zhenjiang Zhenxing Marine Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., went smoothly. This represents the determination and strength of Hainan Yangpu Free Trade Port in improving shipping capabilities, paying attention to navigation safety, and promoting the construction and development of the free trade port.

"Lanhai Hongyun" is a multifunctional deck transport ship with an unlimited navigation area, measuring 172.8 meters in length and 40.2 meters in width. It has a load capacity of 29000 tons, a full load speed of 16 knots, and a deck load capacity of 28-30 t/㎡, surpassing that of other ships of the same type currently in service; Having four generator sets, driven by dual material hybrid power; As a multifunctional deck transport vessel, it is suitable for the transportation of heavy equipment and offshore wind power equipment, providing supporting services for national key construction projects, and can also load containers to meet international trade import and export capacity; Equipped with the same DP-II dynamic positioning system and four anchor positioning system as the polar research icebreaker "Xuelong 2", it can adapt to sea winds, waves, and different hydrological conditions, providing assurance for navigation safety. At present, the construction standards, safety performance, and environmental protection performance of the "Lanhai Hongyun" ship have reached international standards.

After the auspicious waters of "Lanhai Hongyun", various ship inspections and trial operations will be carried out immediately, and it is expected to be officially delivered and put into operation in June this year.
